our golden turmeric latte recipe

For a nourishing blend, try out this healing golden milk. The anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial spices will boost your immune system, making it a great winter remedy. With its other nutritional riches like manganese, iron, zinc and b-group vitamins, why not drink turmeric all year around by adding it to smoothies, chia puddings and curry dishes.

We tried a few different recipes before coming up with our own concoction – let us know what you think…

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of milk of your choice, we like almond as it matches the nutty turmeric taste well
  • 1 tsp of ground turmeric (or 2 tsp of fresh grated turmeric)
  • 1/4 tsp of ground ginger (or 1 tsp of fresh grated ginger)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla paste (or 2 tsp of vanilla extract)
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of maple syrup or honey
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt

Method

  1. Warm your milk of choice in a pot on the stove, to hot but not quite boiling
  2. Pop the rest of the ingredients into a large mug with a dash of boiling water, mix into a paste
  3. Pour the hot milk into your mug and mix it in with the paste
  4. Enjoy!
